Jaecoo in Ireland: the import route to the Jaecoo 7

Jaecoo is sold in the UK but has not launched in Ireland. There is no Irish distributor, no Irish dealer, and the brand does not appear in Irish new-car registration reporting - so every Jaecoo on Irish roads today is an import. The UK market took Chinese brands earlier and in far greater volume, so used examples are plentiful there, which is why importing is realistically the only way to buy one here.
What we can source right now. We currently list around 150 Jaecoo at UK garages, the large majority Jaecoo 7s from 2024 to 2026, with fully landed prices from about €36,500. That figure includes VRT, VAT, customs, transport and Irish registration - it is the price to have the car here on Irish plates in your name. The plug-in hybrid 7 SHS carries the strongest specification; petrol versions sit below it on price.
Why the UK route suits these cars. A nearly-new Jaecoo bought in the UK has already taken its steepest first-year depreciation there. Because every car we list is priced fully landed, you can compare our screen price directly against any Irish forecourt sticker - there is nothing to add at the port.
Warranty - please read this before you buy. Jaecoo cars sold in the UK carry a seven-year manufacturer warranty, but it is granted by the UK importer and its own policy extends cover to EU countries only for temporary trips with a return to the UK expected. There is no authorised Jaecoo dealer anywhere on the island of Ireland - none in the Republic and none in Northern Ireland - so the nearest place to service the car or lodge a claim is in England, at your own travel cost, and the bundled roadside assistance is scoped to the UK and Channel Islands. Our honest advice is to price a Jaecoo as though the manufacturer warranty is worth nothing here, and to treat any goodwill from the importer as a bonus.
