Never miss the right car again: saved cars, saved searches and email alerts

The hardest part of buying from the UK was always timing. The best-priced cars in Britain sell very quickly — often within days — and for years the best of them were gone before an Irish buyer ever heard about them. We've missed some of the best-priced cars ourselves for exactly that reason. So we built a notification service.

How it works

Create a free account and there are two ways to get alerts:

• Save a car. Click the heart on any car you like. If a similar car arrives in stock, we email you.
• Save a search. Filter the Used Cars page down to what you're after — make, model, year, price, mileage, even features like leather seats or a towbar — and click Save this search. We check every saved search every 15 minutes, and email you when new cars match.

Be specific — you'll get better alerts

There are a huge number of cars on the site, with more arriving all day, every day. A very general search — say, just "BMW" — matches so many new arrivals that the alerts stop being useful. The more specific your search, the more precisely the alerts serve you: pick the model, a year range, a price range and a mileage cap, and every email becomes worth opening. If you're open to a few different cars, save a few specific searches rather than one broad one.

Why the timing matters

Value cars in the UK do not hang around. The earlier you see a car, the greater your chance of getting it — and an alert minutes after a car is listed is exactly that head start. When one lands, you can reserve it online there and then with a refundable €2,000 deposit.
